Documentation for Exceptional Plants 
and the People who study them.

When a plant comes to live at Waimea, the documentation process is thorough and detailed. Since 1973, horticulturists have carefully recorded, mapped and tracked each accession added to the collections.

Al Plant inventory data is kept on traditional accession cards and on computer with BG-Base software.

HELP WHEN YOU NEED IT.
The Waimea staff propagates a wide variety of rare and exotic plants. They'll help provide you with facilities and research materials. So make yourself at home. Yes, you can use the library focused on tropical plants, herbarium, seed collection, files of photographs and slides, FAX, and copy machine too.
